Northfield, Vermont’s has long been a crossroads of military service, higher education, and innovation. Few people embody that intersection more fully than Phil Susmann, longtime Norwich leader and President of Applied Research Institutes (NUARI). As Susmann prepares to retire this December, his impact stretches from education and innovation to cyber readiness and national security.
