�����԰’s School of Architecture + Art lecture series events will take place on Thursdays or Fridays at 1:00 p.m. in Chaplin Gallery. The series is free and open to the public.

The 2025-26 series will kick off on Friday, Sept. 19, with students presenting recent research: “30 years of the School of Architecture + Art” by 3rd-year Nora Dunigan, and student and faculty work currently on exhibit at the Venice Architecture Biennale’s “Time Space Existence” in Italy, by Jade Jiminez and Mykel Fingi. Following the presentations, the school will attend a tour of “Celebrating 30 Years of Citizen Architects: Class of 1995-2025” at Norwich’s Sullivan Museum and History Center.

On Friday, Oct. 24, we are thrilled to welcome Katerine Hogan, FAIA, LEED AP of award-winning

 Katherine Hogan Architects in Raleigh, North Carolina. They will present projects from their diverse, inventive, and creative body of work, whose approach to design expands the role of the architect in society. 1.5 LU’s (pending)

Associate Professor and Associate Dean of The College of Professional Schools, Cara Armstrong, will present her interdisciplinary research in neuroscience and architecture on Thursday, Oct. 30.  Her research is reflected in recent exhibitions and writing, including a chapter in the forthcoming “Routledge Handbook of Neuroscience and the Built Environment.” 1.5 LU’s (pending)

On Friday, Jan. 16, we welcome School of Architecture + Art Norwich alumnus Aaron Cayer, Class of 2012 and 2025, Andrew Carnegie Fellow, Rome Prize recipient, and assistant professor of architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. 1.5 LU’s (pending)

Megan Nedzinski, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, CPHC, partner and project architect from Vermont Integrated Architecture, will present design work that embodies the value of strong communities and healthy natural environments on Friday, Jan. 30. 1.5 LU’s (pending)

On Friday, Feb. 13, a screening of “My Mother the Architect,” which debuted in New York City in May 2025, will be followed by a conversation with the director and award-winning filmmaker Yael Melamede. 1.5 LU’s (pending)

The school’s annual Architecture Career Fair will host 20+ firms from the architecture and related fields on Friday, Feb. 20. Students interview with firms and learn about the variety and culture of professional practice.

The series culminates in our biannual “Making Workshop: Reconnecting with the Haptic” on Friday, March 27 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. This event brings faculty and students together in a contemplative afternoon of hands-on making projects. 

This series is made possible in part by a generous grant from the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation, a philanthropic organization supporting cancer research, education, volunteerism and other charitable endeavors, including the School of Architecture + Art Lecture Series. For more than 10 years, the Byrne Foundation and �����԰ have partnered to bring eminent national and international architects, designers, artists, and writers to campus.
